Scraps Designs is a play and placemaking effort to bring creativity to public and shared spaces.

Scraps uses repurposed materials, public participation, and constructive play to help citizens of all ages feel pride and ownership over their shared spaces.

The ultimate goal of Scraps Designs is to use creativity and play to create more equitable and human-centered communities.

Scraps is run by Jamie Pierson, designer, artist, educator, and community organizer based in Tulsa, OK. Jamie received her undergraduate degree in Arts Management from the University of Tulsa, and her Masters of Urban Design from the University of Oklahoma. Jamie spent over a decade in public service for various non-profits and the Tulsa City-County Library. She is currently employed as an urban designer and planner at TSW Design.
