TIPTON MURAL

This mural was painted in partnership with the garden’s community participants at the Tipton Community Garden in Kendall-Whittier. I was commissioned by the sponsoring organization, Kendall-Whittier Inc, to work with the garden coordinators to design the mural, and organize the members into painting teams, so that all would feel ownership and value of the mural. The design depicts the fruits and vegetables of the garden, but the style was derived from the collaborative nature of the mural’s execution.
