Traveled Way Through

$175.00

This assemblage painting consists of varied raised blocks on an irregularly shaped background. The background is painted to evoke a contour map, and is surrounded by blocks with differing shades on varied sides, resembling buildings or structures seen from above. The contour lines could be the result of the natural world, a river or creek bed that has been built around, or it could symbolize a man-made disruption, such as a highway or roadway. The wood for this piece was reused from two other projects, one a large installation and one a small toy design. In keeping with an expectation I set for myself as an artist, none were altered from their original scrap form.

Acrylic paint, plywood, hardwood, adhesive, polyurethane. 28x15”
